“Nautanki Saala” completed first week with average figure. The film
had opened with an average opening on Friday and further grew after positive
word of mouth, consequently it took good jump on Saturday and Sunday finished
1st weekend with 13.25.
The film did good business in multiplex and urban areas but
remained below average in mass areas. Content impressed urban juvenile and
youth and lead actor Ayushman Khurana including other lead actors got appreciation
but this film couldn’t follow foot step of Ayushman’s first film “Vicky Donor” which
had done very good business.
If talk about weekday business it took 40% drop on Monday from
Friday and collected 1.80 crores and further showed slight drop on each day. As
far as Thursday business is concerned it showed slight drop again and collected
around 1 crores which brings first week domestic collection around 18.75
crores.
It was also released on some international centers but collection
is not enthusiastic, in seven days it collected around 1 crores. Today, Emraan
Hashmi starrer film “Ek Thi Daayan” is releasing so it will occupy large number
of screen space therefore its business in 2nd week will be affected. Right now,
life time domestic collection looks around 22-24 crores.
Since, it is doing good business in certain areas so distributor of other areas will be in loss though it recovered production cost 13 crores but will be considered as an average film.
