Ultimately,
box office sees spring after few weeks drought. New released film “Aashiqui”
takes good opening on Friday in initial shows. The film started with positive
notes in initial shows and grows as day grows; occupancy was around 25-30%
across the country.
It is very
good start if consider the star cast. Star kid Sharddha Kapoor daughter of
famous villain Shakti Kapoor is debuting Bollywood with Aashiqui 2. If we talk
about Aditya Roy Kapoor, it is his debut film as a lead actor but he had
started his career with “Action Reply” as a supporting actor few years ago.
Aashiqui 2 is
a love story of teens, though it did not received good reviews but it stated
well in initial show and noon show. It has taken very good start in initial
show in Bihar, Up and MP. Whatever public response we received so far is positive.
As far as 1st day collection is concerned it looks around 4 crores plus on the
basis of two shows but if it takes good jump in evening and night show, figure
would be much better.
Further business depends on content and word of mouth. We expect it
will take good jump on Saturday and Sunday. Since it is first love story film
in 2013 so there is fair chance to do better. So far people have seen comedy
and mashala film expect “Special Chabbis.” It will face tough competition in
multiplex with “Iron Man 3” but will do good business in mass areas.
