“Ek Thi Daayan” had finished 1st weekend with ordinary number and started weekdays with same trend.
It had started with decent figure on Friday
and received positive reviews & positive word of mouth but instead of
taking jump, declined on Saturday. Though it took some jump on Sunday but it
was less than first day collection which is unexpected. If a film does not do
better on Sunday compare to first day, then it is point to ponder for makers.
There is nothing wrong with film; it received positive reviews and affirmative
public response but it could not perform better than opening day. Emraan Hashmi
has good fan follower and has good hold in mass areas though it did not improved
in mass area. Thing are happening in reverse gear. Film did better business in
multiplex and showed fall in mass centers.
As far as Monday business is concerned it showed big drop either it
was multiplex or single screens. Estimated figure is around 2.25 crores and
first week will come around 24 crores.
