“Chashme Baddoor” finished 1st week with decent figure. The film
had started with positive note on Friday and improved further by word of mouth.
Content of the film impressed audience, especially juvenile and youth therefore it
took good jump on Saturday and Sunday and finished first weekend with fabulous
figure 18.88 crores.
As far as weekday’s business is concerned it performed more than expectation
and fetched around 11 crores including 2.40 crores on Thursday. Now, it is a hit film; it may face competition
with new released films, “Nautanki Saala, Camando and Hollywood film Oblivion starrer
Tom Cruise. It should collected around 8-10 crores in 2nd week but all this depends on performance of new released films.
Right now, life time collection on home box office looks around 40
crores. As far as international box office business is concerned it did good
business in Pakistan and UAE and overall overseas box office collection of
first weekend is 3.50 crores. Total worldwide collection reached around 33.68
crores.
After two average films, ultimately director and master of comedy David Dhawan gave a hit film
with new star cast and we hope that he will continues it in future.
