“Ek Thi Daayan” is steady on weekdays and garnering almost same figure on each passing day; it keeps on average business but not bad as some websites is making hullabaloo over its performance and declared below average to flop film. Though performance on Weekend was less than expectation but it was not bad.
This is low budget film and in
worst case it would be at least an average film. Main cause of average
performance is its semi urban content and mood of audience. For last few months
all horror genre films did average business either it was Bhatt camp’s Raj-3 or
Ram Gopal Verma’s Bhoot (last year) or other horror films.
It is truth that Emraan Hashmi factor did not worked but performance
is not bad. The film has garnered 18 crores on weekend now its business is not
bad. If we talk about Wednesday business, it did similar as on Tuesday and
collected 2.50 crores and brings total domestic collection around 25.50 crores.
Now, first week will finish around 27.75 crores. Future of film will
be decided by second week business. Right now, 2nd week expected collection is
5 crores and lifetime around 32-35 crores.
Overseas Performance: It was also released on some screens on overseas
centers and after completion of weekend its overseas collection is around 1.68
crores. So, total worldwide collection is 27 crores.
