David Dhawan
directed film “Chashme Baddoor” took outstanding opening on day first and surprised
everyone. The film started with positive note in the morning show with around
40% occupancy across the country and grew up to 50% in multilples in day shows.
In evening and night show it reached around 60-70% in some multiplexes.
It took very
good start in north India; occupancy in Delhi, NCR and other metro cities were
nice. Single screens report is yet to come. In coming two days it will take
jump on single screens also. It has
taken exceptionally well opening and first day collection should come around
6-7.5 crores. It can take big jump on Saturday and Sunday and 1st Weekend
collection should come in the range of 18-22 crores which would be decent
amount considering star cast.
The film
energizes box office as a blow of fresh air after poor performance of “Himmatwala”
and other pre-release films. The film has enough pull to pull attention of
audience, especially young generation. It will rule on the box office and
future is bright. It is magic of legend director David Dhawan who had given
plenty of hit comedy film in 90’s and early 2000.
