  1. That is fantatstic collection considering the genre, and how the genre is not so much liked by multiplex and overseas audiences. But still it was lapped up by overseas audiences also.Maybe it is the alure of John Abraham in a massy loving role.

  2. It is a fantastic collection for an adults film and for this genre. Adults film means one third revenue compared to universal film. Because kids upt 18 years of age cannot see the film. That means half the audience. And because it is an adults film lots of parents dont go as their kids cannot go. So they settle for an universal movie. So like that two thirds of audience is gone. And lots of overseas audiences do not appreciate gangster films. But still the film has done good bussiness overseas. Multiplex audiences in India do not like to see too much blood and gore and bad words. With all these hurdles in its path but still Shootout has become a success, I think it is to a great extent because of John Abraham in a very macho angry young man role.
