Ekta Kapoor’s film “SHOOTOUT AT WADALA” had taken very good
opening on Friday. The film had started with ordinary opening around 35% in the
morning and day’s shows and further took good jump in evening shows. Overall
total occupancy was around 40-45%. The film did not take expected jump in the
night show therefore it collected around 8.5-9 crores on first day.
It had done fantastic business in mass
belt like CI, CP, Gujrat, Nizam and North India but remained average and below
average in East and south region. If we talk about multiplex and metro city it
did fantastic business in Delhi and Gurgown where occupancy was around 50-60%.
On Saturday, it started with same
occupancy in the morning shows but further took jump around 15-20% in later
shows. Advance booking for evening show is decent. It continues good business
in CI, CP, Nizam and northern area as well as very strong in Delhi & Gurgown
where occupancy is around 60%. Mumbai
starts with 40% occupancy.
The film received mixed reviews to bad
so further business is depend on word of mouth. Film should collect 10 crores
on Saturday. It should take a big jump on Sunday to get decent weekend. Right
now, It looks around 27-30 crores.
