“Bombay
Talkies” consists of four small but beautiful stories directed by renowned director
Karan Johar, Deepankar Banarji, Abhinav Kashyap and Zoya Akhter. This film is
dedicated to centenary years of Indian cinema that’s why it is special.
The film had started slowly on Friday with
an average figure 1.25 crores therefore many film experts began to say it
either below average film of a flop film. But film got reward on Saturday. It got very positive word of mouth and took
big jump around 60% from Friday and collected around 2 crores. Since, it is
released over very limited screens so figure is not so big but it proving good
content often works.
Film got advantage of holiday on
Sunday and takes another big jump from Saturday. Report from all centers is not
yet come but it is expected around 2.80 crores. Now, total weekend collection looks
around 6 crores. now, it will do good business on weekdays and finish first
week around 8-10 crores.
