Aashiqui 2 is doing amazing business in second week. If said, it is running
on the track of “Oh My God", it won’t be wrong. Last week, it appeared as a blow
of fresh air at box office and done stupendous business on each day, weather it
was weekend or weekday.
If we talk about second week, it started
very positively and collected 2.5 crores from reduced screens on Friday. Further
it took big jump around 40% on Saturday and put 3.25 crores into its bag. The film
surprised everyone on Sunday when it took amazing jump 40% from Saturday. Now
Sunday collection looks around 4.75 crores that is incredible figure for a non-starrer
film. Once again I like to say it is following “OMG”.
As far as 2nd weekend business is
concerned it has collected incredible 10.50 crores & likely to finish 2nd
week around 15-16 crores. Now, it has completed 10 days journey on home box
office and collected 47.70 cores. It will cross the mark of 50 crores in coming
two to three days and finish 2nd week around 53 crores.
It has almost got super hit status and
extending towards blockbuster status. 3rd week’s performance will decide it.The
film is performing better than “Student of the year” a non-starrer film came
last year and it will be interesting to see whether it touch or cross that
bench mark of SOTY. Right now, life time collection look around 60 crores..
