After doing fantastic business in
first week, Aashiqui 2 started well
in 2nd week. Though it lost decent number of screens due to “Shootout At Wadala”
and Bombay Talkies” but there is no affect on its performance. Since, it is
performing on reduced screens so amount is coming less. It has already got hit
status and now extending towards big hit.
As far as 8th day business is
concerned, it performed well and collected around 2.50 crores. If we talk about
Saturday, it stated with positive notes in morning shows with 20% jump and
improved in further show. It continues good business in mass belt and improved
in multiplex therefore 2nd Saturday collection has come around 3 crores. Now,
it completed 9 day’s journey and collected around 43 crores on home box office.
It should take big jump on Sunday for
big 2nd weekend. Right now it looks around 8-10 crores and 2nd week around
13-15 crores. Film will cross the mark of 50 crores in second week and if
continues this charm in 3rd week it can cross 55 crores or more.
