“Ek Thi Daayan” had done average business on first weekend and
garnered 17.63 crores. It opened with 6.25 crores on Friday and showed undesired
fall on Saturday, that was shocking but further improved with small jump on
Sunday but it was not equal to first day figure.
It was surprising and less then expectation with Emraan Hashmi
starrer film and picture was quite clear with weekend collection where it will
stand. Film followed same trend on weekday & collected around 10 crores on
weekdays therefore finished first week with average figure 27.45 crores
In second week it was replaced by new films Aashiqui 2 and IronMan 3 at large number of screens therefore its business got affected badly.
Film did similar business on reduced screen and collected 2.55 crores. Now,
total domestic collection is 30 crores. it seems that film get hunted by some
daayan.
As far as overseas business is concerned it is below average. In
two weeks it has collected only 1.75 crores which bring total worldwide
collection 31.75 crores. Now, it has almost finished it run with average
status.
