“Son of Sardar” has completed first extended weekend
(6 days) and put a decent amount into its bag. The business of film is somewhat
affected by sudden demise of Bala Saheb Thakre for last three day and it will
be for next couple of days. Although the film done splendid business on Sunday
and accumulated 12 crores.
If compare this amount with JTHJ’s Sunday collection
14 crores, it is not less. JTHJ has accumulated 14 crores from 2500 – affected area
and SOS accumulated 12 crores from 2000 – affected area. The difference is only
2 crores. So it cannot be say that one film is doing well and other is doing badly;
both films are from different genre and both have their own fan followers and
belt as well as both are doing well.
The film has
accumulated 69.50 crores on home box office and 73 crores worldwidely in six day's journey. It is doing
well on home box office but its performance on overseas center is poor. The film
is released on fewer screens and it is getting tough
competition with “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” therefore its business is badly affected. Now,
it will be interesting to see; how it does on weekday and this trend will decide
the fate of film.
