3rd day, 2nd test: India on the vege of defeat, England in strong position

India is in very critical condition in 2nd Test match against England on day 3rd. A the end of day three India has lost 7 wickets and scored only 117 runs in 26 over. Total lead is 31 runs and three wickets are in hand. Now, some miracle can save India otherwise defeat is definite.

Today England started their inning from yesterday’s score and finished their inning at 413 runs. Captain Cook and Kavin Peterson played a scintillating batting and both of them made century Cook made 122 runs and 186 runs. England did brilliantly comeback in 2nd test and defeated India in every department. Right now England is in very strong position and victory is just few yard ahead.

In second test England dominated from day 1st. India won the toss and decided to bat first but captain Dhon’s decision to bat first proved wrong and Indian inning began to tremble from first session.  Virendar Sehwag who made century in last match got out cheaply. Gautam Gambhir’s bad continues. World’s biggest batsman Sachin Tendulkar was struggling for a runs and his contribution to team was only 8 runs.

In Indian inning; only two batsmen Pujara and Ashwin faced English bowler properly and made 135 runs and 68 runs. Rest of Batsman was struggling in front of English bowler. India made 327 runs in first inning. English spin bowler Panesher Monty did outstanding bowling and played a key role to bind up Indian Inning.

On 2nd day when England started their inning it was expected that Indian spin attack will do better than English spinner and it will be hard to score even 250 runs for England but in reality, nothing happened. Indian spin attack proved blunt in front of English batsman. They were playing Indian spin attack very easily. Resultantly, England able to stood a big score and took lead of 86 runs.

After slipping by 86 runs in 1st inning India started second inning but except bad nothing happened. Once again Panesher’s bowling proved curse for Indian batsman. Only in 26 overs, English bowler sent 7 top batsmen into pavilion. Result of match is quite clear.  Most probably match will finish tomorrow before lunch.
