India lost
2nd test match by 10 wickets. Today, India started her inning from 117/7 and
got all out at 142 runs in second inning and gave an easy target of 57 runs
which England chased without spending any wicket. This is big victory for
England and humiliating defeat for India. Now, in 4 test match series, England
levels the series by 1-1 and put a new flavor in the series. They present great
challenge for India on Indian soil.
The things happened today as I had told yesterday,
match finished before lunch break. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was very
disappointed with spinner’s performance and worst performance of batsman in 2nd
inning. Only Gautam Gambhir stayed on the wickets and scored 65 runs.
England dominated entire match, either it was
batting or bowling. English spine attack shattered both Indian innings and compelled
to accept a big defeat. Indian spine attack proved ineffective; there was lack
of sharpness in bowling and it was surprising. England destroyed India’s
batting in both innings on the strength of two spin bowler, who took 19 wickets.
On the whole 2nd test is off and now it will be interesting to see clash in 3rd
test match. Where India will try to come back in series, England will try to
take lead.
