“Jabb Tak
Hai Jaan” did well on weekday. There was about 30% fall from Friday and it has accumulated
7 crores on domestic centers. Business of the film is still affected in Mumbai
and neighborhood but overall business of the film in rest of the country is
stupendous and in seven day’s run, it has accumulated 92 crores on Home Box
Office and 131.50 crores worldwidely.
Since it is
last film of late Yash Chopra, king of romantic film, who passed away just 22
days before releasing of film so it is getting extra attention, somewhat sympathy
wave. There is no any doubt about its content; it is nice, though the concept of
love triangle is not new but the way it is presented is wonderful.
The film is
released with another film “Son of Sardar” which is a comedy action drama (mashala
movie) and attracts mass so it is getting competition. The film will continue
its performance till 29th November because on 30th November another super star
Amir Khan’s movie “Talaash” is releasing which will stand another challenge for
it. It will lose almost half of screens and get more competition.
On the whole,
it keeps on doing good business on home centers and tremendous business on
overseas center. The estimated first week collection on home box office looks
around 125 crores and worldwide near 160-170 crores.
