“Jab Tak Hai Jaan” approached Rs. 180 crores/1800
millions worldwidely on 16th day. The performance is little bit lower than
expectation but whatever screens are available in 2nd week, it is good. Fall in
the collection gives an indication that interest of people in class movie is
decreasing and they prefer to watch light comedy and action movies. That is why
its collection is coming less than of “Son of Sardar”.
The film did
similar business on 2nd Wednesday and garnered Rs. 2.10 crores/210 million
which brings the total domestic collection around Rs. 115.50 crores/1155
millions. Now 2nd week will come around
18-20 crores. The film already got the status of super hit film on home box
office and blockbuster on overseas.
The film registered
as third biggest hit of 2012 after “Ek tha Tiger” and “Rowdy Rathore”. The film
will shrunk on very limited screens in limited shows in 3rd week due to massive
release of “Talaash” around 2600 screens. Life time collection on home box
office would be around 120-123 crores. Life time overseas collection would be more
than 70 crores and lifetime worldwide collection around 190 crores. The gross worldwide collection would be
around 240-250 crores
