In reply of
India mammoth score 521, England finished her first inning just on 191 runs. No
any batsman able to face Indian spin attack. Prghyan Ojha did superb bowling
and compelled five English batsmen to return pavilion. Ashwin also did nice
bowling and took two wickets.
England had to make 322 runs to avoid fall on but they could not do that. In second inning England started well and at the end of the day 3rd, it scored 111 runs without loss. Captain Cook played a responsible inning and was on the crease at the end of the day.
On 4th day England started further,captain Cook played superb inning of 168 runs unbeaten and minimize the difference of defeat. He is still on the crease. Now it will be interesting to see whether he avoid defeat on 5th day. At the end of 4th day game England was 340/5.
