“Jab Tak Hai Jaan” is facing unexpected
situation in 2nd week and it is worrying news for makers and Shahrukh
Khan. The film did poor performance on 2nd Friday and Saturday and accumulated
2.80 crores and 3.45 crores consecutively and now 2nd weekend collection looks around 10-11
crores.
As the trend
has developed, 2nd week collection would come around 15-16 crores. Though the
film has declared super hit by Box
office India but, such type of performance in 2nd week is disappointing. The
reason behind such kind of performance is new released Hollywood films, “Lifeof Pia”, “Silver Linings Playbook” and “Twilight breaking-down 2” as well as Hindi
animated film “Main Hoon Krishna”. These films are giving tough competition to “JTHJ”.
I had told
earlier that the way will get more difficult after releasing new
films on Friday and it is happening. Next week, when “Talaash will release it
will lose a big number of screens and its way would be more and more difficult.
The film was already getting competition with “Son of Sardar” and now, new
films have made it more difficult.
The film is
still doing stupendous business on overseas centers and collection is more than 55
crores. It will continue it performance till release of “Talaash”. Right
now, life time collection looks around: domestic 125 crores, overseas 65 crores
and worldwide 190 crores.
