“Jab Tak Hai
Jaan” completed first week (10 days) and reached near the milestone of 100
crores that is unexpected for film experts. This collection is far behind
estimated collection of 145 crores. The film was released on Depawali, and took
good opening of 15 crores. It showed good jump on further days but after the
demise of Bala Saheb Thakre, it saw continuous fall which is still continue.
The film did
above average business on Thursday and collected 4 crores. In the journey of 10
days it has collected 98.50 crores on home box office and cross the mark of 100
crores tomorrow. The film has to do good business in second week otherwise it
will stay away from super hit status by a small margin.
Right now,
it is getting tough competition with “Son of Sardar” and today one Hindi film
and some Hollywood films are releasing which will take a good number of screens
and give tough competition because Hollywood films are multiplexes dominating films
and “JTHJ” is doing well there.
Now honeymoon
of this film has been finished and ahead is thorny way hence it will be
interesting to see, how this film performs on coming days. Right now, some jump
on 2nd weekend is expected, around (15- 18 cr) and 2nd week around 25 crores.
Life time collection: domestic 130 crores and worldwide 180 crores.
