“The Dark Knight Rises” is doing stupendous business on Indian box office. It has emerged as second best Hollywood opener of all time after “The Amazing Spiderman”. It’s opening day collection was Rs. 6 crores nett whenever the collection of “The Amazing Spiderman” was Rs. 8.50 crores.
There was good jump on Saturday and it has collected Rs. 8.50 crores . Now, the total collection of two days is Rs. 14.50 crores. It is an awesome amount. This film is giving tough competition to Bollywood Hindi film “Cocktail” in the multiplexes. The film is getting immense admiration of either critic or audience. It is expected that it will collect about 24-26 crores in first weekend.
“The Dark Knight Rises” is doing fantastic business on domestic box office as well as on international box office. It has collected $30.6 million (168 crores INR) in mid night showings, which was the second –highest midnight gross of all time behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows –Part 2 ($43.5 million)(239 crores)
It has broke Deathly Hallows – part 2’s record ($2 million)(11 crores) for the highest midnight gross in IMAX with $2.3 million (12.6 Crores) Highest ever. The Avengers’ midnight Gross is Just $18.7 million (102.85 crores INR).
