“Cocktail” is doing unexpected business in third weekend. There was good improvement on third Sunday and it has collected 1.20 crores (0.12 million INR). The film had shown sudden fall on Friday so it was suppose that, now, this film will struggle on box office but it improved its performance in last two days and collected a decent amount of around 3 crores (0.3 million INR) on 3rd weekend.
The film has been done fantabulous performance in last 17 days, and collected 93.70 crores (9.37 million INR) worldwidely. The film is getting competition with latest Bollywood release “Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum” and Hollywood film “The Dark Knight Rises”. Though this film is sustain and continuously doing well.
The reason behind it is, the new films is targeting a certain group of audience. The “The Dark Knight Rises” is targeting multiplex audience whenever “Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum” is attracting only youth and those who likes double meaning dialogues. The Family audience, couple and teen agers have kept them away from this film. This is plus point for Cocktail.
It is expected that 3rd week collection will come in the range of 5-6 crores. The lifetime collection will come in the range of 78-80 crore on domestic box office and around 97-99 crores worldwidely
