“Cocktail” has done good business in first week but in second week the way is thorny. There was expected drop in occupancy although the film has collected a decent amount of 3.75 crores on second Friday. On 8th day this film has collected 72.70 crores worldwidely.
Now, the film has great fight with Hollywood film “The Dark Knight Rises” which is also a multiplex dominated move and got fantastic opening. Now the future of this film is depend on collection of 2nd weekend. There is hope that there would be increase in occupancy on Saturday and Sunday but how much, it will be interesting to see because “The Dark Knight Rises” has shadowed like tornado, it will make the way of “Cocktail” difficult.
The film has collected 58.90 crores on 8th day. The film is doing good business in overseas and collected around 14 crores in eight day. It is expected that it will collect around 14-16 crores in second week and the lifetime collection would be around 75-77 crores.
