“Cocktail” has done stupendous business in first week either it was domestic box office or overseas box office but in second week its business has dropped. Now, it is doing above average business in 2nd week. There was improvement in occupancy on Saturday from Friday and it has collected 3.75 crores.
It had collected 75.65 crores worldwide in nine days. There was unexpected drop on 2nd Friday and it has collected only 2.75 crores but it improved on Saturday and collected 3.75 crores. It is expected that there would be good jump on Sunday but how much it will be interesting to see.
The film had given good competition to “Bol Bachchan” in first week in multiplexes but this week it is getting tough competition with Hollywood film “The Dark Knight Rises” which is doing very well on Indian box office. It is expected that the film will collect in the range of 10-12 crores in second week and its domestic collection would reach about 71-73 crores. Now, the lifetime collection look around 80-82 crores and that would be good enough for this film to get a super hit status.
