Chennai Express- comes to end, 9th Week Collection

Chennai Express is an action romantic & comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chilly Limited. The film is starrer Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone as central character and was release on 9th August, on the eve of Eid festival. The film had taken earth Shattering opening on first day and shattered previous record of highest opener.

Chennai Express proved tornado on box office and demolished about 90% previous records in just few days. Now, its business is about to finish its run on home box office as Akshay Kumar’s Boss will release on 16th October. Now, film has finished 9th week on domestic centers in fewer shows and collected around 3 lakhs and bring total domestic collection around 220.50 crores, 18 crore more than 3 Idiots.

Chennai Express has also done overwhelming performance on overseas centers and so far collection more than 116 crores. The film is still releasing in new countries so it will increase by the time. Right now, it has been released on Egypt and in one week grossed more than 2 crores. Film will finish its run on Tuesday then we will bring lifetime collection of Chennai Express.
