Abhinav Kashyap directed & Ranbir
Kapoor starrer film ‘Besharam’ had released on the eve of Gahdhi Jayanti, on
2nd October over 3500 screens; the film took good opening, 21.55 crores and
become biggest opener film of both Abhinav Kashyap and Ranbir Kapoor. Film did
stupendous business in multiplex where occupancy was around 70-80% but film’s
performance in single screen was not up to mark, it was around 55%. Overall
occupancy on first was around 65% across the country.
Now, let us talk about critics
reviews, film received mostly bad reviews except good review of famous News channel’s
Ajtak’s website but most important factor was word of mouth that went against
this film. It obvious from second day business, film showed huge fall and
collected around 7.10 crores.
This drop continued on day third also and
film collected around 5.75 crores. though film has started little bit better on
Saturday but big jump is not possible as trend has developed from last two day.
After three days business total home collection is 34 crores plus. Now, film
will finish extended weekend around 50 crores and first week around 70-75 crores.
the way film is performing on weekend, it would be interesting to see whether
it reach in safe zone.
