BOSS- Decent opening in initial show (multiplex), 1st Day Early trend

Akshay kumar’s Boss has taken decent opening in initial show in the multiplex where first show started at 8 am. The film has taken 35-40% opening across the country and it is very decent opening. The film has taken very decent opening in Gurgaon (40%), Delhi (35%) and Mumbai (30% +). 

Since, Boss is a single screen dominated film so it is sure that film will take more than 40% opening in first show on single screens and afterward it will improve by word of mouth. Film has good advance booking yesterday.

Though film has just finished first show in multiplex and it is not right time to say anything about film but we received some reviews which is mixed. Some websites and news channels are giving negative reviews as they did in past but it will not much affect film’s business. Only word of mouth will play key role to decide destiny of film.

Strength of Film: Boss is set to release over 3000 to 3300 screens. Actual figure will get clear tomorrow. Since it is solo release so there is fair chance of great opening. It should lie between 20-25 crores if occupancy would be above 85-100%.

Budget: There is no official announcement regarding budget but suppose to be in the range of 55.60 crores including promotion, advertizing & marketing.

Satellite Rights: Not announced official but expected to be in the range of 37-40 crores depends on performance of film. It can increase or decrease according to box office performance.

PreRrelease Recovery: 44-50 crores recovered in the from of Satellite Right, Music and video rights.

Minimum Distributors Share: 55-66 crores from Home and Overseas to bring film in profitable zone.

Opening: Since, releasing on Bakrid ( Idu’l Zuha), holiday, it should be stupendous opening, at least in mass dominated centers. Of course, film has strength of touching 25 crores on First Day, but we think around 20 crores for nice opening.

If mixed – 56-74.50 crores nett

If negative – Less than 50-55 crores

If positive 105 – 110 + crores
