Akshay Kumar’s latest film “BOSS” has
completed first weekend decently. This is one of hyped film of the year and there
was great expectation with it but film could not take bumper opening on firstday despite holiday, perhaps it disturbed by Indo-Aussies ODI cricket match. Film
opened with decent figure 12 crores figure on day first with positive to mixed reviews
and very strong word of mouth.
As you know this was a mid week,
holiday release so it was obvious that it will drop on next two day as being
working days. That’s why film dropped on Thursday and Friday and collected
around 8.25 crores and 6 crores. Since it is a mass dominated film so film got
expected response from mass areas and continues good business till now. Performance in
multiplex was below par on first three days but it took jump on Saturday and
Sunday.
If you ask about what was films
performance on Sunday, then I’ll say, it was good, film started with positive notes
in morning show with occupancy around 35-45% in both single screen and
multiplex and flourished onward shows. There was decent jump on Sunday and film
has collected around 07.50 crores*.
Now, film had completed 5 days
extended weekend and collected around 39.60 crores. Since film has received positive
word of mouth so film should sustains well on week day and finished 1st week
around 55 crores. But you have seen that there was an up and down in collection
in last five day so real figure will start to appear from Monday’s business.
Possibility of 100 crores: The way
film performed in last five days diminishes possibility of 100 crores but it depends
on audience mood, if it changes anything is possible, there is nothing wrong
with film as viewers are saying.
