Boss - Preview

Boss is third film of Akshay Kumar in year 2013; it is a comedy action thriller directed by Blue (2009) fame director Anthony D’Souza and co-produced by Cape of Good Films & Ashwin Varde Productions. Brightest aspect of this film is its interesting star cast, first time, Akshay Kumar will seen without a leading lady, I mean, there is no leading lady opposite Akshay Kumr or Boss in this film. Yes, he is alone and besides him there are Mithun Chakraborty, Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari and Ronit Roy in lead role.

Boss is remake of south Indian (Malayam) blockbuster film Pokkiri Raja which was starring Mammotty, Prithviraj and Shriya Saran. Music of film is composed by Meet Bros Anjjan, PA Deepak, Chirntn Bhatt & Yo Yo Hanni Singh. Lyrics is written by Kumaar, Mano Yadav & Sahil Kaushal. The teaser was released on 14th, August when Akshay’s last film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Doubara had released. The theatrical trailer was released on 27th August, 2013 and film is scheduled to release on 16th October, 2013 on the eve of “Bakrid” festival across the world.   

Akshay Kumar will appear as a hearted Haryanvi gangster, who, apparently known as Boss and Mithun Chakraborty as his father; Shiv Pandit as younger brother of Akshay and Aditi Rao Hydari as his consort. Danny Benzongpa has played role of Guru or mentor of Boss as well as Ronit Roy as ruthless police officer who is biased against Boss.

Public Response of Theatrical trailer: When first official theatrical trailer of film was release on You Tube on 27th August, it had taken fantabulous response from audience and critics alike. The trailer was just viewed more than 30 lakhs or 3 million times in just in 10 days.

USP: X-factor of this film is death defying & heart pumping stunt done by Akshay Kumar. In Akshy’s own word, he has done career’s most dangerous stunt in this film. Most of stunt has been shot on the soil of Thailand, where Akshay has learnt Marshal Art. An action sequence of climax has been shot in very hot temperature, more than 47 degrees Celsius, by Akshay Kumar and Ronit Roy successfully.
