“Jishm-2” has completed its first week run with unexpected result. It was suppose that it will do some magic on box office but it could not, Only presence of Sunny Leone is not enough to hit film. In 8 days, the film has collected 27.40 crores worldwidely. The film has done good collection on first day but afterward it was struggling on the home box office, if we talk about overseas center it has been very low business, only, 0.40 crores in 7 days.
The performance of this film is affected by the negative reviews of film expert and negative word of mouth. It has been seen in the past that if the film earned negative reviews of expert but got positive response of audience, film gets clicked. But main thing is content of film, if there is no good content, film will not do well.
“Bol Bachchan” had not got good reviews (mixed) but it got immense love of audience and done fantastic business, become one of the best grosser of 2012. But in the case of “Jishm-2 , it looks as Mahesh Bhatt and Pujaa Bhatt was in very hurry, they could not give much attention to content.
This is content of film which caused average performance of film. This film has done average business in six days. The film has collected Rs 1 crore on Thursday. The total collection of eight days is 27 crores on Home Box Office. The lifetime collection would come around 30 crores. In second week this film will get out from most of theaters and continuing at few places in limited show. “Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum and new film Gang of Wasseypur-Part II will get advantage of this.
