Superb performance of “Ek Tha Tiger” is continuing in all over India. It has done exceptionally well performance in fist week and crossed the mark of 150 crores worldwidely. The film enjoyed the benefit of 4 holiday in a week and make a new record of fastest reaching 100 crores on domestic box office. This film has made many new records and shows the craze of Salman Khan among audience. If it is said, it is golden period of Slaman’s career, it would be not wrong. In four years, he has given 4 consecutive blockbuster.
“Ek Tha Tiger” has done amazing performance on the box office in first week and collected more than 126 crores on home box office. Now, the holiday has over and the film showed 40% drop on Tuesday from Monday. It has done good business on Tuesday and collected around 10 crores. The film is also doing fantastic business at overseas center and in five days it has collected 25 crores. Now, it has one more week to do business without competition.
On 31st August, another Super star Akshay Kumar’s movie “Joker” is releasing. Akshay has given two consecutive blockbuster “Houserfull-2” and “RowdyRathore” in 2012. And “Rowdy Rathore has made many records on the box office. One of them is biggest non holiday opener. So, it will be interesting to see the competition with two big movies. The buzz about Joker in the market is also very hot.
But before it “Ek Tha Tiger” would have been done enough business. Business of second week will decide the actual lifetime collection of this film. It will early to say that it will break the record of “3 Idiots” (207 cr).
