India defeated Sri Lanka in only one 2TC (20-20 cricket) match by 39 runs. India won the toss and elected to bat first. In 20 overs, Indian made 155/6. Virat Kohi played a brilliant inning of 68 runs and Raina made 34 runs. Virat Kohli was declared “Man of the match”.
In Reply, Sri Lankan made 116/10 in 18 overs. The beginning of Sri Lankan inning was poor. Dilshan got out without score. They lost three quick wickets. Erfan Pathan did the magnificent bowling in first spell and took three important Sri Lankan wickets whenever Ashok Dinda took four wickets. Ashwin and Umesh Yadav took one wicket each. In Sri Lankan inning Mahela Jayawardhane made 26 runs and Methues 31 runs.
With this win, India improved her ranking in 2TC match. India jumped to 4th position from 7 the position in this category. Virat Kohli chosen as Man Of The Match and skipper Mahender Singh Dhoni lifted the Micro Max trophy.
