Vipul won Indian Idol-6

Vipul Mehta won the title of Indian Idol-6.  He defeated Devandra  and Amit in the grand finale. Devendra came at 2nd position and Amit at 3rd position. Interesting thing of Indian Idol- 6 is, all three contestants belong to Punjab.


Vipul got a winning trophy, 50 lakhs check, a car, a bike, 3 lakhs check of insurance from an insurance company and a contract of a music album with Sony music.  Vipul fulfilled his grand father's dream. 

The special attraction of grand finale was performance of 1st Indian Idol and 5th Indian Idol as well as great performance of three judges with three finalist. 

The grand finale was started at 8:30 pm and the result declared at 11 pm. Super star Karina Kapoor announced the name of winner. In the glittering grand finale there were five stars of film industry, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ileana D'Cruz, Karina Kapoor, and Madhur Bhandarkar present. 


Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra was present from begining to end. They were there for promotion of their film Barphi. Karina Kapoor joined the function later with Mudhar Bhandarkar. They came for promotion of their film "Heroin".
