“OH MY GOD”
has received an average opening on Friday. Occupancy in the multiplexes was
about 35-40%. Initial shows were
below average but word of mouth was positive and it was expected that it will
improved in the evening but it could not happened due to an important cricket match between India and
Australia as well as Ganesh Visharjan,
the closing ceremony of Ganesh Mahautsav in Maharashtra.
The film has
received positive critic’s reviews and word of mouth is positive so it will show
growth on Saturday and Sunday. The film is completely family film and family audience
will enjoy it. As the response received from Delhi, all age grouped liked this
film. The content of film is very unique and it is giving a solid message. Akshay
Kumar has played the role of Lord Krishna and he is in cameo role so it may be
one of the reasons for an average opening. Mithun Chakravarti and Paresh Rawal is
in lead role and has performed well.
Yesterday,
Akshay Kumar had said that he did not make this film for money. He made it because
he likes the content very much and he wants people enjoy it. The film has
collected around 4.5-5.0 crores on
Friday and first weekend collection will come in the range of 14-18 crores. The
film is released on only 1200 screens so collection will not come in huge
number.
