“Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Doubara” is doing decent business on
weekend; the film had taken outstanding opening on Thursday but showed big drop
on Friday, but it is not point to ponder, since Friday is a working day and
people already enjoyed two national holiday in last 9 days, it was over dose of
entertainment so it is usual and natural drop.
There is other factor also, the film got 2600 screens from 16th
August but in many centers it shared equal shows with “Chennai Express” and
remarkable thing is that it did not get prime time slot that is why its collection
on Friday was not bigger.
Overall films performance is good, as far as Saturday business is
concerned film started with 35-40% occupancy in the morning show and improved
in later show. Film did very well in multiples and metro cities like Gurgoan,
Delhi, Mumbai and other cities and remain average in single screens where
shared shows with Chennai Express.
The film has collected in the range of 12.50-13 crores on Saturday
and brings total domestic collection around 38 crores. It would take big jump
on Sunday and collect big amount. Right now, first weekend collection looks
around 50-55 crores that means it will finish first week around 70-75 crores.
