Madras Café had completed first weekend with handsome figure. The
film had started slowly on opening day in morning show but later it showed
decent growth and collected around 5.15 crores.
Further it showed good jump on Saturday and collected around 6.90 crores
The film showed very good jump on Sunday and collected around 8.75
crores and finished first weekend with 20.80 crores. If it continues this performance
on weekdays, finish first week around 30-32 crores. Film has one week to
perform properly on box office, next week it will get tough competition with
multi-starrer film Satyagrah on reduced screens.
Budget of film is around 35-40 crores so film should at least
recover production cost to go in safe zone and it can if holds well on weekday
and 2nd weekend.
