“Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Doubara” is one of the most awaited
film of the year. The film had started with bang on the box office on 15th August
on limited screens but it could not maintain that pace onward though it got
broad screens form 16th August. The film continues good performance in
multiplex but remain below expectation in mass areas.
The reason is obvious, in single screen film still shares 50%
shows with “Chennai Express” but not in prime time and other reason is mixed
word of mouth. Though film is doing decent business but there is need of
outstanding performance to reach in safe zone, budget of film is high.
As far as Sunday business is concerned film started with good occupancy
around 45% in the morning show and reached around 60% in the evening shows.
Though reports from all centers are not yet received but it should come around
12.50 crores. Now, it has finished first weekend with decent figure 44.60
crores. The film has to perform better on weekday to bring it in safe zone.
Right now, first week collection looks around 58-60 crores.
