Madras Café is a action drama film based on a real incidence, starrer
John Abranam. The film had released on last Friday with decent opening. Film
got good reviews and positive word of mouth, therefore flourished further and finished
first weekend with handsome figure around 20 crores. It is good figure for a
niche film.
Now, film has completed 6th day on box office with good figure. Film
sustains very well on weekdays and garnered good number on each day. If we talk
about Wednesday business, it took advantage of festival Janmashtami and
collected around 4 crores. Now, total domestic collection is around 30.35
crores. It will finish first week around 33-34 crores which is very good figure
for niche film.
Though it’s screens occupancy will reduced next Friday due to mega
release of multi-starrer film Satyagrah, but the way it performs in week first,
there is no doubt that it will continues it in second week. Film will do good
business in 2nd week and finish life time around 40-50 crores.
