“Bhag Milkha Bhag” had taken very good opening on Friday despite
slow start in initial and noon show, film received fantastic public response
and took good jump in all shows therefore it finished first day business around
8.65 crores.
Film started better on Saturday with 45-50% occupancy in the
morning show. It had fantastic advance booking too. Overall film took very good
jump on Saturday, around 60-70% occupancy. The film is doing very well at both centers
either multiplexes or single screens specially at Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgoan so
future is very bright. Overall film did
fantastic performance on Saturday and collected around 10.25 crores, (figure
can vary, report from remote areas is still to come).
Farhan Akhtar’s work is getting appreciation of celebrities and
public. Film will take very big jump on Sunday and weekend collection will come
around 30 crores plus. Though film has no big name as a cast but this film is
based on the biography of great athlete Milkha Shing who won gold medal for
India in Olympic game, so people will like to see the story of this legend
athlete.
It is evident form last two
day’s public response that it is alluring them and gets through to win heart so
there is no point to ponder for makers though total budget of film is 50 crores
(30cr budget + 20 cr promotion cost) but most probable it will be recovered in
first week.
