“Zanjeer” is remake of Amitabh Bachchan ‘s super hit film came
in 70’s which made him second super star of Indian cinema. But remake is just running on the reverse
track. The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and starrer Ram Charan Teja, a south Indian film actor, Priyaanka
Chopra and Prakash Raj. This is debut film of Teja in Bollywood and it looks as his decision to
start career in Bollywood with remake of Big B’s film was absolutely wrong. We
are not saying so, data says.
“Zanjeer” had taken poor star on Friday despite very good
reviews. The film put all in surprise with performance when registered fall on
Saturday from Friday and collected only around 2.85 crores. It managed only around
6 crores in two days. It looks as audience has completely rejected this remake.
It may take some jump Sunday, being holiday but as the trend has developed it
does not look possible.
Whatever reports we received so far it is, it showed slight
improvement on Sunday and collected almost same amount 4.00 crores as on
Friday. The film has collected around 3.25, 2.85 and 4.00 crores on
consecutively on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Three days total collection is around 10 crores and finish 1st week around 15 crores.The film is getting tough competition with "Shudh Deshi Romance".
Now, there is no hope for film and might count as one of the disaster
of the year. It is always great risqué job to do remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s
film’s. It will finish lifetime around 20 crores which would be less than half of budget. Budget of film is 45 crores. Everyone associated with this film will be in great loss.
