Raj Kumar Santoshi directed and Shaid
Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz starrer film “Phata Poster Nikla Hero “completed
first week with less than expectation; the film had started with less than
expectation on opening day and collected around 6 crores on first day, though further
it took decent jump on Saturday (7 cr) and Sunday (8.25 cr) but that couldn’t
help it to collect handsome figure.
Resultantly, it finished first weekend
with 21.25 crores; though film showed 45% drop on Monday and it was not bad
figure but weekend collection imbalanced all equation therefore it could not get
opportunity to improve and remained steady entire week. Film failed to get positive
word of mouth and hence finished week with average figure 31.60 crores as
predicted earlier on home box office. Film never looks to present any competition to last week released film Grand Masti.
Film has one more week but as trend
has developed, there is no hope for big jump on second weekend and onward. Film
will collect around 8-10 crores in 2nd week and would bring two weeks total
around 43 crores. Film will finish lifetime around 46 crores.
