“Grand Masti” is marching on the road of blockbuster films,
the film exceeded all expectation and went beyond dream figure. It is not any kind of joke indeed, it has
done amazing business on weekend and put all in great surprise including makers
and actors. This is pleasant jolt for entire team of GM and great shock for
critics who had made very negative remarks.
The film went beyond all expectation
and it seems that it is dream but it is fact that GM crossed all expected
figure. The film started to surprise everybody from first day; when started with
surprising occupancy above 40% in the morning shows and reached around 65% in
further shows. The film got extremely negative review but got immense love of audience
therefore it took 10% jump on Saturday and collected around 13.25 crores.
Everybody thought that it is apex of
performance of GM and now, it cannot go beyond this figure on Sunday but once
again, film took big and surprising jump around 75-80% across the country. At many
places many theaters were houseful, resultantly film finished Sunday with
dreaming figure around 14.45 crores*.
GM has finished first weekend with
dreaming figure of around 40 crores on home box office, which is just double of
its budget; now, it looks to finish
first week around 60 crores with super
hit status and if continues this performance in next week, then nobody can stop
it to get blockbuster buster. It is giving tough competition to previous week released movie like Shudh Deshi Romance and others.
Grand success of “Grand Masti” has
given great breaks to it’s actors and actress but it proves nectar for Vivek
Oberio whose star was in melancholy for last few years, all his film released
in last few years proved disaster so he desperately needed a big hit. Now, his
bad days are gone and good day starts, his next film is “Krish 3” where he
played role of main villain “Kaal” against Hritik Roshan which is supposed to
be mega hit.
