“Himmatwala” did not take bumper opening on day first but it
cannot be said bad. Performance on Friday was satisfactory at mass centers and
average in urban areas which made it satisfied with 10.50 crores. Overall first
day business was okay. Since, it is released over more than 3000 screens so it
is below expectation considering Ajay Devgyn star power.
It received very negative
reviews and become mockery on social network. Overall word of mouth is mixed
and this is point to ponder for makers, director and lead actor Ajay Devgyn.
The film started slowly in morning shows on Saturday and grows
later. Early trend on some place was nice as I said last evening but overall it
did below business on Saturday with 3 crores drop and collected around 07.50
crores. Most surprising thing is that it showed drop at some place.
Performance in mass area like Bihar, UP, Gujrat, Rajsthan is good but it cannot help it to touch the
milestone of 100 crores on the basis of performance in some certain areas. Time
will tell what will happen to this film but right now, it does not look even to touch 80 crores
marks.
In two days business it has collected only 18.00 crores and as the
trend has developed in last two days it does not look that it will touch even 30 crores mark at first weekend. Real test will begin on weekdays and that will
fix its fate. It seems that the claim made by director Sajid Khan is going to be
wrong.
