Himmatwala
has taken good opening on Friday. The film did very good business on single
screens as expected and average on multiplex. It collected around 13 crores on
first day which was expected around 15 crores but overall opening was good.
The film
received negative reviews from critics as it happens in the case of single
screen dominated film but got thump up in mass belt. If we talk about Sajid
Khan directed film, none of his film has received good reviews, so reviews were
expected so. Sajid Khan has already said that he makes film for audience not
for critics. So he does not care what critics say about his film.
Now come to
the word of mouth, it is positive in mass belt and mixed in multiplex dominated
area. Early trend on Saturday is better than Friday and it should collect more
than Friday. The estimated Saturday collection is around 14-15 crores. Real figure
will clear later. Film started slowly in morning shows but grew later as day
grew. If film does exceptionally well in evening and night show, figure would
be different.
