“Matru Ke
Bijli Ka Mandola” completed 1st week with 34.60 crores worldwidely. The film
fails to impress audience and become first disappointment of New Year 2013. The
film was released over more than 1800 screens and collected only 31.30 crores
on home box office.
This is bad beginning
of Director Vishal Bhardwaj, Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma. Anushaka has ended year
2012 with a super hit film “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” which grossed 122 crores on home
box office but started 2013 with disappointment.
“Matru Ki
Bijli Ka Mandola” showed another fall on Thursday/six day and collected only 1.50
crores which bring the total first week domestic collection around 31.30
crores. Oversea collection is also not good, its just 3.30 crores. The film will
end its run in two weeks with release of “Race 2” next week. Life time
collection looks around 35 crores. Verdict: The film got flop.
