Heroine 30th Sep, Worldwide Collection 2nd Saturday

 “Heroine”is getting tough competition in 2nd week. It was already getting competition with “Barfi” in first week now “Oh My Gody” had stand new challenge for this. And this challenge is clearly shows in form of collection. The film showed drop in collection in 2nd week and it has collected around 1.20 crores on 2nd Saturday.

Now, the total worldwide collection in 9 day is 48.30 crores. 2nd weekend collection looks around 3.5-4.5 crores and 2nd week collection around 6-7 crores. Lifetime collection would be around 44-46 crores.

BARFI, 30th Sep, Worldwide Collection 3rd Saturday

 “Barfi” is gradually extending toward 100 crores marks but the way looks little bit difficult because “Oh My God” has impressed audience and it become first choice. The film is still doing good business.  It showed good jump on third Saturday and collected 2.25 crores that is a decent amount in 3rd week.

Now, in 16 days it has collected 89.65 crores on home box office and more than 115 crores worldwidely. The film has done stupendous business so far and still continues in third week. The third weekend collection looks around 6-8 crores.

If the film will not much affected by “OMG” on weekdays then 3rd week collection would be around 10-11 crores. The life time collection looks around 96-100 crores.

Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal 30th Sep, Worldwide Collection Saturday

Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal” could not impress audience. The film had a poor opening on Friday and it could not earn good word of mouth. It continued to do poor business on Saturday. There was a negligible growth on Saturday and it has collected about 1.50 crores.

Poor performance of film has surprised everyone and it is hard to believe that a comedy film by Priyadarshan could not get audience. Now the future of this film is clear. Since it is not able to pull the audience into theater so it could not sustain more than one week. The first weekend collection looks around 4-5 crores and life time collection 8-10 crores.

Oh My God, 30th Sep, Worldwide Collection Saturday

Indeed, good content brings good result and this happened in case of Akshay’s latest film “OH MY GOD”. The film earned good critic’s reviews and positive public response. That is why it has showed 25% jump across the country and grabbed a handsome amount on Saturday. The film is doing well across country.

The film had taken good opening on Friday and good word of mouth showed a distinct jump on Saturday resultantly the film able to collected 5.50 crores on Saturday. Now, in two days it has collected 9.60 crores on home box office. The film is also doing well on overseas center. Since the film is not released on mass scale so collection is not coming in big numbers. After a long time, a film has come which is giving a message with entertainment. This film becomes first choice of audience.

The film is getting appreciation of audience and work of Akshay, Paresh Rawal and Mithun Chakravarti is appreciated. The future of film is bright because it is getting love of audience. Since this is a low budgets film so it will soon convert into profitable venture. 

As the trend has developed on Friday, it is expected that it will show another jump on Sunday and weekend collection would come around 16-18 crores. The first week collection would come in the range of 23-26 crores and lifetime collection 35-40 crores.

Akshay's latest film Oh My God in controversy

Akshay tried hard to escape from any controversy but his latest film “Oh My God” gets into controversy. A leader of “Punjab Mahila Congress” has lodges a complaint against film with the Jalandhar Police. The leader is alleging that Akshay has hurt religious sentiments of Hindus in his latest film “Oh My God”.

Akshay had tried to escape from any controversy and had arranged a special screening for religious leader in Delhi before releasing. Everything was fine. Nobody raised any objection. But now he is facing this problem.

For security, two policemen is guarding outside Akhsay’s Juhu residence for 24 hours since a couple of days.

Resident Evil 5 got good opening

“Resident Evil 5: Retribution” is a horror and action sequel. This film has got a good opening on Friday and garnered $8.4 million. The film is not able to repeat the performance of last one which had earned $10.7 million as an opening day collection.

Now it is expected that it will collect around $22 million in first weekend which would be less than previous one ($26.7 million). The first week collection will come around $30 millions.

Another Hollywood film released on Friday is Disney’s 3-D re-release of “Finding Nemo” and this film has also got good opening of around $5.1 and it is expected that first weekend collection will come around $17-18 million.

Rerelease of “The Lion King” has earned $8.9 million and “Beauty and the Beast” has earned 5.6 million.

BARFI 29th Sep Worldwide Collection 3rd Friday

 “Barfi” keeps on doing stupendous business on 15^th days. The film has lost some screens due to new release “Oh My God” and “Kamaal Dhamaal Malalmaal” but its business is not affected that much. The film has collected 2.20 crores on 3^rd Friday and brings the total worldwide collection to 113.67 crores.

The third weekend collection will come around 6-8 crores and third week collection will about 10-12 crores. Now, there is fair chance to cross the mark of 100 crores. The film can get some completion with new film “OH MY GOD” because it is getting positive reviews and positive word of mouth plus.

Over all the film has done wonderful business in two week and become first 100 crores earner (worldwide) film of Ranbir Kapoor. It has collected 88 crores on home box office in 15 days, just 12 crores short of 100 crores, in coming 2 weeks, it can cross this marks. The life time collection looks around 96-100 crores.

HEROINE, 29th Sep, Collection 2nd Friday

2nd week is tough for “Heroine”. Now, it shrunken on limited screen and getting tough competition with “BARFI” and new released “OH MY GOD”. The film has done average business on 8^th day and collected about 1.00 crores. Now the worldwide collection stands at 47.10 crores.

The film is not loss but distributor from some places like CP and CI will face some loss. This film is biggest opener and highest grosser of Madhur Bhandarkar but film has not done that kind of performance which was expected. It is fact that it is a female dominated film and in our society such kind of film gets success, rarely.

Now, 2nd weekend collection looks around 4-6 crores and 2nd week collection around 10-11 crores. Lifetime collection would be around 44-46 crores.
