“ Khiladi
786” had started with less than expectation on Friday and showed a slight jump
on Saturday but on Sunday, it took a decent jump of 25%. The performance of the film improved in
multiplex, where it was average, and in single screens, where it was rocking
from first day.
At the end
of first weekend the film collected 34.75 crores on home box office which is a
good amount but less than expectation of makers and experts. This film had released
on 2786 screens and if compare with Akshay’s “Rowdy Rathore” which was released
on 2600 screens, is very less. "Rowdy Rathore" had collected 48.30 crores nett on
weekend.
On the whole,
the film took good jump on Sunday and collected 13.50 crores on home box office.
The film is also doing good business on overseas centers and fetched around
7.50 crores. And weekend worldwide collection is 42.25 crores. Now the business
of the film depends on weekday business which expected to be good.
Improvement on
Sunday gives a positive indication. Akshay’s last film “OMG, Oh My God” had
started with an ordinary opening but later it improved on weekday and become
super hit. So, if this film had not
excellent opening that does not mean it won’t improve on weekday. Right now,
first week collection looks around 45 crores domestically and 52-55 crores
worldwidely.
