Dabangg-2, 1st Day Collection

“Dabangg-2” took scintillating opening on Friday, breaking previous record of “Rowdy Rathore” 15.10 crores, made in June 2012 by a margin of about 5-7 crores. The film took huge opening across the country and in some region it made new record but it fail to touch the opening day’s records of “Ek Tha Tiger” 32 crores by big margin.

Occupancy in the theater was above 90% at most of places. The film is very strong in Delhi, Gurgown, Noida, CP, CI and Rajsthan and made new record of opening as well as enthusiastic at other places.

As Chulbul Pandey said, “Hum waapas aa gaye hain, Swagat nahin Karoge Hamara” audience have welcome “Danbangg” in that style and made it a historical non-holiday opening. The film is receiving positive word of mouth so it will take big jump on Saturday and Sunday and first weekend would come around 65 crores. It can cross the mark of century of crores (100 cr) in first week if maintain the pace on weekday.

Since it is very similar to first one so any prediction is not possible, weekday will determine its further business and life time collection. The film  collected 19.50 crores on first day. It also took good opening on overseas but figure is not clear so far.
