In interesting final of IPL-5, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Chennai Super King by 5 wickets and become new IPL champion. In last over KKR had to make 9 runs to win which they made on four balls.
There was suspense in the final over; will KKR make this run or Dhoni will stop them. Dhoni gambled and gave ball to Bravo but this decision could not prove right. Bravo could not stop Kolkata Knight Rider to make required 9 runs and Kolkata Knight Riders won the match. Shahrukh Khan’s team KKR become new IPL champion
Today Dhoni’s luck was not with him and he missed the hectic. Kolkata Knight Riders played well in every field and they played like champion whenever defending champion could not able to repeat that performance of previous match which brought them in final. They bat well but could not perform well in bowling and fielding.
They gave initial jolt to Kolkata Knight Riders in the form of Gautam Gambhir but later could not able to make pressure on batsman. Vishla played a super inning of 89 runs of 48 balls and Jack Kalis made 69 runs and made the target of 190 runs dwarf. They won the match easily and lift IPL5 trophy.
