“Avengers” is doing magnificently in third week and it has collected unexpected USD 1 billion globally in just 19 days and break all previous records of Super hero films.
It is unexpected result for the producer. The Chairman and CEO of Disney, Mr. Robert Iger said, “We are obviously thrilled.
This movie has collected $207.4 million in US and Canada on opening weekend. It is the highest domestic box office debut in history.
Avengers become first movie which cross $ 100 million in its second weekend. It has surprisingly collected $ 628.9 million internationally. It was released in overseas on April 25th.
“Avengers” has badly affected new release horror comedy “Dark Shadows”. This film has collected $ only 28.8 million at domestic theaters.
It is likely to become the highest grossing movie of all times after making $ 1 billion at worldwide box office just in three weeks.
There is great possibility that it will soon over take “Toy Story 3”on the highest grossing list, and it could emerged as number 3 , just replacing “Harry Potter”, as well as the three recent Spider-Man films.
Now, only James Cameron’s “Avatar” is ahead of it and it is expected that “The Avengers” will break its record of a massive $ 2.7 billion and become the highest grossing movie of all time.
